Getting to Eastbourne

Eastbourne and the Bays are well serviced by public transport - from Wellington CBD there are two public options:

Bus Service: 

Catch the 83 or 81 service from the city. The 83 goes via Lower Hutt and  runs seven days a week, on and off peak, the 81 is a weekday, peak service only and runs between the city and Eastbourne via Petone.

Harbour Ferry:

There is a regular ferry service between Days Bay and Queens Wharf in the Wellington CBD. There are commuter sailings during peak times and several off peak options.

Some of the services go via Matiu / Somes Island where you can spend the day exploring.

Making your own way to Eastbourne and the Bays is easy too - it's a 25 minute drive from Wellington CBD or around 15 minutes from Lower Hutt.

There are shuttle services from Wellington Airport as well as Uber and taxi services
