Everyone's Adventure
This local company runs adventures and equipment hire for whatever your adventure! They have a unique system where they make much of their equipment available for free once their sales targets have been met for the year - they are based in Days Bay and at the start of the Pencarrow walk / bike trail. Check out their website -
Harbour Ferry
There is a regular ferry service between Days Bay and Queens Wharf in the Wellington CBD. There are commuter sailings during peak times and several off peak options.
Some of the services go via Matiu / Somes Island where you can spend the day exploring.
For full details, check the East by West Ferry Service website - https://www.eastbywest.co.nz
Walking Tracks
The East Harbour Regional has several well marked and well maintained tracks linking the bays. There are lots of options - most fitness levels are catered for and many of the tracks are suitable for children. A popular walk is from the Muritai Park entrance on Muritai Road near Karamu St - it heads up to the lookout and you can return via the McKenzie track which lands at the Eastbourne Village. Check out the Wellington Regional Council website for more details -
